To give you a better picture of how I can give you support in mastering situations in your company, here are several real life examples from THE IMAGE INSTITUTE's work.

Case 1

Starting point
The representatives of a large, successful, organisation doing business world-wide, constantly find themselves doing business in the public eye or under media observation.

Task
To create a seminar to be offered continually, focussed on improving the appearance of all employees representing the company in a public capacity.

Measures
The development of a training session to be given over several days (presentations, group work, exercises) in conjunction with a voice and speech trainer which prepares the impressions management in a highly individual way.

Training modules are defined and created using the themes of posture, voice and speech, manners, clothing appropriate to the person and the occasion. The seminar is integrated into the company's already existent range of seminars on offer in its own training centre.

Case 2

Starting point
A young, performance-oriented and fast growing IT consultancy company is doing business in various locations using alternating teams of staff of different nationalities.

Task
To achieve an awareness of inter-personal behaviour, which is especially important for success, bearing in mind the multi-cultural background. To work out and implement measures in order to produce a coherent image for the company's staff to present to one another as well as to the company's partners and in public.

Measures
In workshops using the company's mission statement, the employees worked together to produce a comprehensive code of behaviour, which could be introduced into internal and external co-operations in real terms. A second series of workshops was used to formulate the company's principles based on the mission statement of the long-term objectives. Through the involvement of the employees (discussion forums, asking for suggestions) the current principles of the company are marked by the use of young, direct language. With the result that they are really being used and worked by.

Case 3

Starting point
A company in the food industry wishes to accommodate its highly successful development: The public impact is increasingly marked by its fast growing number of branches and the - mainly female - employees who work in them.

Task
To sensitise the female employees to their contribution to the company image, and to establish comprehensive positive standards for the ladies' appearance.

Measures
A functional and yet individually variable range of work clothes was developed. In addition, all branch managers and manageresses attended seminars to enable them to instruct employees in their branches in the important basic rules of company image, appropriate accessories and hairstyles and make-up.
